The Department of Pharmacy (including Master Programs) pays great importance to the combination of theory and practice, enhance students' professional skills, strengthen cooperation with medical units, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology industries, and develop clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutical management, biotechnology and Chinese herbal medicine research and development. This Department is in the Technological and Vocational Education System for higher education, serving as the health industry, technical personnel training and in-service training institutions to play the important role of education for the holistic education.

Consistent with the national health care and the development of biotechnology policy, Pharmacy Department aims to develop professional knowledge in the fields of pharmaceuticals, Chinese and western medicine manufacturing, clinical pharmacy, pharmacy administration and drug marketing, etc. In addition, students graduated are equipped with professional ethics, humanistic accomplishment, and able to adapt to the environment as the goals.

The functions of Pharmacy Department establishment: 1. To provide students with suitable career development; 2. Training technical personnel fulfill the requirement from health, medicine and other industries; 3. To combine community resources according to industry desires; 4. R & D and innovation of products or technologies; 5. To provide adult in-service vocational education.
